Our Story

Hello! I’m Laura; a studio potter working and living in Prattsburgh, NY. My journey in clay began in 2008 when I took my first ceramics class in high school. I then went on to study ceramics at SUNY Brockport, and completed my schooling with an internship at Sommerville Pottery. I remained at the Sommerville studio, located in Pulteney, NY, for 6 years working as the assistant studio manager. This adventure has allowed me to meet lots of fantastic people from all over the country as well as really build myself in ways I didn’t think were possible. I have been challenged creatively and physically while learning a great deal of patience during the process of it all. At the end of the day I feel so much joy when my hands are in the clay. It is an honor to create meaningful work, for a living, and to be able to give a piece of who I am to you with every piece you bring into your home.
